The difference between local, regional toll, and long distance calling:
Local Calls
A local call is place and received within the local calling area.
Regional Toll Calls
A regional toll call is beyond local, but not long distance—distance varies from region to region.
Long Distance Calls
A long distance call is one that is made from one regional calling area to another.
